A-Z Poem

By Melissa (Honey Bee)

This poem's first line begins with an A,
the next line with a B, and so on,
all the way through the alphabet.
Only the X line is changed (to begin with "ex")
...This poem is meant to be from
the perspective of Nick, talking to Jo.

A ray of light
Bounced off her face.
Come smile, my love,
Dear friend of mine.
End this silence,
Find the words.
Gentle love,
Heart-filling joy,
I want to know
Just how you feel.
Kind words are said,
Like little flowers—
May I know,
Now, if you love me?
Open up your heart,
Please answer me,
Queen of my desire.
Reflect my love,
Say yes to me,
Tell me now,
Under sunlit skies,
Very surely that you
Will be my wife.
Examine my eyes and see
Yearning, love,
Zeal, and truth reflected there.
